About NYH

Nantucket Youth Hockey has been introducing island children to the game of hockey since the Christopher Nugent Bowers Community Ice Rink opened in 2002. Home to the Nantucket Nor'Easters, our program welcomes players ages 4–18, offering opportunities to develop their skills from Learn to Skate and Mite hockey through Midget-level competition. Our teams compete in leagues and tournaments across Cape Cod, the Islands, and New England, giving athletes the chance to grow both on and off the ice.

Nantucket Youth Hockey is committed to growing the game of hockey while providing a positive, supportive environment where every child can thrive. We believe every young athlete deserves the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of hockey in a setting that emphasizes safety, respect, teamwork, self-discipline, and good sportsmanship.

Our experienced coaches and volunteers strive to lead by example, helping players build confidence, character, and lifelong friendships. As representatives of the Nantucket community, we take pride in fostering a program that reflects the values of sportsmanship, integrity, and a love for the game.
